Dr. Nussdorfer and Dr. Springsteen started the first occupational medicine program in the Grand Traverse region in 1988. Dr. Vlach practiced occupational medicine in Chicago prior to joining them in 1991. As board certified family physicians with extensive experience in occupational medicine we have the skills and knowledge to do what is in the best interest of the patient/employee with a firm understanding of the impact on the workplace and the employer. We recognize that most workplaces can make accommodations for injured employees and also know that an employee who remains in the workplace recovers more quickly. We make every effort to identify your employee's working environment so that we can recommend appropriate work restrictions when nescessary. The understanding that a healthy workforce represents the best interest of both the employee and the employer is the core philosophy of our occupational practice.
Our physicians have more than 75 years of collective experience practicing occupational medicine!

Our clinicians can come to your business to administer Flu Vaccines, TB Testing, or Drug Screens for your entire staff!
Non-regulated drug screen testing is performed at our office and negative results are provided on the same business day. Questionable specimens and federally regulated specimens are sent to MedTox Laboratories for confirmation and those results are available in 1-3 days from the time of testing. All of our drug screens are reviewed according to federal standards under the supervision of certified Medical Review Officers. We function as a stand-alone drug screen collection site for companies that utilze other commercial laboratories.
